Michelle Lam, Ph.D.
Michelle Lam, PhD, (she/her) is a Canada Research Chair in Rural Community-Based Education for Reconciliation and an Associate Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy at Brandon University. She is interested in community education, storytelling, film creation, rural immigration, identity, anti-racism, and social justice.
Stephanie Spence
Steph Spence, BScPN, (she/her) is currently a student in the Master of Public Health and Social Policy program at the University of Victoria. She is passionate about supporting Indigenous health and pushing for policies that reflect the strength, knowledge, and rights of Indigenous people.
Akech Mayuom
Akech is a fourth-year student at Brandon University, where she is pursuing a degree in Psychiatric Nursing. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Canadian Mennonite University. As a research assistant, she has worked on collaborative projects focused on developing interactive anti-racism resources and creating safe spaces for BIPOC students. Akech is interested in creative research projects that are accessible and impactful, with focuses on mental health, racism, and social justice.
Denise Humphreys
Denise Humphreys, BSW, MPA, MA (Sociology), (she/they) holds a master’s in Sociology and Criminology from the University of Manitoba and is currently working on a PhD in Sociology from Carleton University.
